President and Chief Executive Officer
Fort has served as President and CEO of Sentinel Trust Company and has chaired the Investment Committee since the Firm’s founding in 1997. As evidence of Sentinel’s client-service orientation, Fort is actively involved in the delivery of investment and non-investment services to each of the Firm’s family relationships.
For the ten years prior to Sentinel, Fort managed the financial affairs of the Flowers family including their extensive holdings in traditional and non-traditional assets. He has served as CEO of several wholly owned family companies, and as a director of several public and private businesses.
Fort is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of Georgia Tech and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a frequent speaker on investment and non-investment issues that are faced by wealthy families. He is active in a number of non-profits, including having served as trustee of the Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation and chair of its investment committee. Fort also has served as chair of Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston.
