Senior Vice President and Lead Fiduciary Officer

As a Senior Vice President and Sentinel’s Lead Fiduciary Officer, Leslie is responsible for ensuring that clients receive seamless relationship administration consistent with the law, best practices and the high standard of excellence our clients have come to expect.

Leslie received her JD from the University of Houston Law Center and a BA from Texas State University. Leslie began her work in trust at Charter Bank in 1995 after leaving private law practice. Prior to joining Sentinel Trust Company in 2006, she was Market Trust Executive and Senior Vice President at Bank of America where she had primary responsibility for its fiduciary business in markets spanning three states. She has served on the faculty of both the Texas and the American Bankers Associations’ Trust and Graduate Trust Schools. She taught for twelve years as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law School.

She is the current Chairman of the Texas Banker’s Association Wealth Management and Trust Division Advisory Board and a past President of the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council. She sits on the Houston Bar Association Probate Trust and Estate Section Council, a University of St. Thomas Development Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Houston Estate and Financial Forum.

The author of numerous papers on various trust and fiduciary issues, Leslie is often asked to speak at continuing education events. She is a member of the Texas Bar College, the Texas State Bar and the Houston Bar Association, the Texas and Houston Bar Associations’ Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Sections, Attorneys in Tax and Probate, and the Houston Estate Forum. She is also a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and served on the University of Houston Law Center Alumni Board for 10 years.
