Overview

David A. Bristol, Jr. cofounded Sentinel Trust in 1997 as the successor to the Fruehauf and Flowers families’ single-family offices. Prior to cofounding Sentinel Trust, David was in various technical positions at Exxon and Schlumberger. David holds a Bachelors of Science in Geological Studies, magna cum laude with honors, with a secondary concentration in Economics from Brown University as well as a Master’s degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.

David is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Sentinel Trust’s Board of Directors and oversees the planning and implementation of administrative, fiduciary, and investment services for one of its founding families. David is also actively involved in the selection and monitoring of private equity firms on behalf of Sentinel Trust’s clients.

He is an active private investor and has served on the boards of several private companies, in addition to the boards of several family investment vehicles. He has a long association with the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
