Overview

Walter J. Muller, III is a financial professional with over 20 years of experience leading and managing teams of corporate investment professionals at large, complex national financial institutions. Mr. Muller joined the Sentinel Trust Board of Directors in 2017.

Mr. Muller retired from Bank of America as its Chief Investment Officer for the Corporate Investments Group in 2017, where he worked under the direction of the board’s committees on asset and liability management and market risk. Mr. Muller’s prior roles at Bank of America included serving as the bank’s Quantitative Finance Executive and supporting the Corporate Treasury and Risk Management groups in Bank of America’s quantitative finance programs.

Mr. Muller received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Master’s degree in Economics from University of Georgia. He also earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Muller is a former member of the US Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee, an active member of the business community, and currently the director of his own financial consulting firm.
